This is one of those things that can look completely irrational from the outside:
She likes him.
She gets nervous when he appears.
She looks for him across the room.
She remembers things he told her weeks ago.
Her friends definitely know who he is.
And yet, when he finally makes a moveโฆ
she pulls back.
So he thinks:
โShe obviously never liked me.โ
Not necessarily.
Because ๐๐ง๐ง๐ฅ๐๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ก ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ข๐ก ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ก๐ข๐ง ๐ง๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ ๐ง๐๐๐ก๐.
A woman can be extremely attracted to a man while also thinking:
โI donโt trust him.โ
โI know Iโd probably get hurt.โ
โHe enjoys attention from too many women.โ
โI donโt want something casual.โ
โI just left a relationship and Iโm not ready.โ
Or something even more uncomfortable:

Because when someone genuinely matters, rejection suddenly has much more power.
That is why some women can seem incredibly relaxed around men they barely care aboutโฆ
yet awkward, cold, or difficult to read around the man who actually affects them.
Of course, this does not mean every โnoโ secretly means โyes.โ
A rejection is still a rejection.
But the idea that attraction is always obvious is not true either.
Sometimes the most confusing behavior appears precisely because there is something to lose.
