I was pregnant and so sick. I had just moved to a new place that I hated and I had very bad morning sickness. My husband was out most days.
One night I got a message from an old friend asking me if we can talk. I was so tired and it was late so I just ignored it thinking I’ll get to it later. 2 days later I found Facebook flooding with posts about her death. Apparently she slept and just never woke up.
No one knows what happened. I couldn’t tell anyone that she reached out because I was truly ashamed of what I did. That was a few years ago and I still remember her everyday and I can’t forgive myself because she was my high school best friend!
