Daddy Freeze has told men who are still struggling financially to think twice before marrying the firstborn daughter of a poor family.
The Nigerian media personality shared the advice in a video that is now circulating online. He was speaking to men he described as “upcoming.”
According to him, such a marriage only makes sense if the man is extremely wealthy. He explained that he does not mean someone with a good salary or a civil service job, but someone with generational wealth.
Freeze argued that firstborn daughters from poor homes often carry heavy family responsibilities. He claimed they may depend on their husbands to lift both themselves and their relatives out of hardship. He called them “the expanders of poverty” and said some may leave once they have improved their lives.
He urged men to weigh their finances before marriage and invited critics to respond in the comments.
