Gospel musician Jayana has weighed in on the growing trend of Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures among young Ghanaian women, and she says it will not count against anyone on Judgment Day.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo, she said people should be free to make decisions about their own bodies.
Her reasoning is simple. By the time Judgment Day comes, she said, the body will have decayed, so it cannot be judged for cosmetic surgery. She added that it is the soul that will be judged and resurrected, not the body.
Jayana, a contemporary gospel musician, did not give blanket approval, though. For her, the intention behind the surgery matters.
She said she has no problem with it when it is done for a genuine reason, especially health. But she would say no if the aim is to attract attention for promiscuous reasons.
